Cleverness Which Will Amaze You!

I recently discovered an amazing and strange library in San Francisco called the Prelinger Library. The collection is a beautiful array of strange ephemera, obscure pamphlets and wonerful oddities. Among the stacks I found a vintage magic catalog from the 1940s produced by a magician called Vick Lawston who died in 1998. $1 for the secrets to the "tray method" sounds like a bargain these days. The cartoon monkey you can see in the illustration is called Pumpernickel.
